The Spotlight website was re-launched a year ago today.
Usage has grown dramatically ever since, with www.spotlight.com currently receiving over 2,500 artist searches every single day What’s more, every month more than 16,000 artists are put forward for over 2,000 roles cast via The Spotlight Link – that’s more than 500 CVs per day. This means Spotlight is by far the busiest and most popular casting service in the UK.
We have also continued to develop our online services since the re-launch with the introduction of several new features.
For example, actors and artists now have the option to include a 'currently appearing' comment on their CV, which lets casting directors know when / where they are working. They also benefit from a new-look CV editor, which makes it even easier to update credits and details online.
On the casting side, casting and production teams now have the flexibility to view artists’ photos in several different formats (standard, poly-photo, poly-folio), add online 'post-it' notes to artists’ CVs, and to search specifically for artists with showreels and voice-clips.
